Shades of Sam began with my mother. When she needed prescription glasses, the cost took me by surprise. We got her the glasses, but one question stayed with me: how many people struggle to afford the eye care they need?
That question turned my love for glasses into a purpose. I began researching eyewear, learning about lenses, and discovering how the right frame can change the way someone feels about wearing glasses.
In 2019, I started Shades of Sam on my own, selling online and visiting offices, with a vision bigger than my resources. Step by step, that small beginning grew into a physical shop and a growing commitment to eye care.
Today, my purpose is to make quality eyewear and eye care accessible to men, women and children, without placing unnecessary strain on their finances.
You can start small, keep learning and build something meaningful by paying attention to a problem that matters. For me, it started with my mother. It continues with everyone we serve.
